Dota 2 player Andreas Franck “Cr1t-” Nielsen has accused tournament operator FISSURE of failing to pay prize money connected to several events. Nielsen raised the issue on X after FISSURE announced new championships in the game. His public message asked whether the operator planned to pay what it owed for tournaments, putting an allegation of unpaid prizes alongside the company’s plans for more Dota 2 competition.
The allegation concerns events in which Nielsen played for Team Falcons in 2025. He appeared with the team at several FISSURE tournaments that year. The claim does not identify every event that Nielsen meant, and no amount was stated. That leaves an important limit on the complaint: Nielsen publicly alleged that prize money had not been paid, but he did not assign the alleged debt to particular tournaments or provide a total.
Team Falcons’ history with the operator provides the competitive setting, rather than a complete answer to the payment question. The roster had played at FISSURE events before 2025 as well, in 2024. However, Nielsen’s complaint was specifically framed around tournaments from 2025. The distinction is relevant because the report identifies the year of the matches while leaving the individual events tied to the alleged unpaid prizes unnamed.

New Dota 2 announcement frames the dispute
FISSURE announced six Dota 2 tournaments on October 9. Every event in that announced group is set to take place in 2027. The operator did not disclose prize pools or further championship details at the time of the announcement.
Nielsen’s post followed that announcement, linking a future tournament programme to a complaint about money from earlier competition. The announcement is not presented as an answer from FISSURE to his allegation. Instead, it was the immediate context in which he chose to raise the issue publicly.
The chronology separates two points that should not be blended together. FISSURE’s six-event announcement concerns tournaments planned for 2027, while Nielsen’s allegation concerns prize money connected to several Team Falcons appearances whose matches were played in 2025. No prize-pool figures were supplied for the newly announced events, and no alleged unpaid total was supplied for the earlier events. Readers can therefore place the dispute in sequence without treating the future schedule as proof that any earlier payment matter has been resolved.
Team Falcons’ documented results give the allegation a competitive setting. With Nielsen on the roster, the team won FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 and finished fourth at FISSURE Universe: Episode 4. Those placements show that Falcons competed in the operator’s events; they do not identify which prizes Nielsen says remain unpaid. His post did not name the events behind the alleged debt or give a sum. The results below are therefore a record of participation, not an accounting of a claim.
What is known and what remains unnamed
The complaint arrives against a wider history of payment concerns at FISSURE, although that history cannot settle this individual case. Earlier public disputes involved a different game, and a co-owner’s subsequent promise to address debts did not specify a Team Falcons payment. That distinction matters: an acknowledged general problem is not confirmation that Nielsen’s particular prizes were paid, nor proof of the amount still due. A direct, event-specific response would provide more clarity than any inference drawn from previous disputes.
- June 2026: 15 CS2 teams publicly raised concerns about prize payments at FISSURE.
- August 2026: a FISSURE co-owner acknowledged payment problems and promised to settle a significant share of debts.

| FISSURE event | Team Falcons result |
|---|---|
| FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 | Won |
| FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 | Won |
| FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 | Fourth place |
Nielsen’s question still lacks an event-by-event answer in the material available for this story. The new tournament calendar is a separate announcement; it does not resolve the older prize claim. Until the operator or the player supplies a specific accounting, the unpaid amount and the affected events should not be reported as established facts.
