FISSURE has scheduled six Dota 2 tournaments for 2027, with the first event set to run from January 9 to 17. The tournament operator has put dates on its next-year calendar but has not yet attached competition formats to the events. That makes the announcement a clear outline of FISSURE’s planned Dota 2 activity across the year, while leaving the structure of each championship to be clarified later. The January tournament is the first confirmed stop in a calendar that stretches from the opening weeks of the year into December.

The new plan concerns FISSURE’s Dota 2 tournament programme specifically and identifies six separate championship windows. It gives teams and viewers an early view of when the operator intends to stage events, rather than a finished rundown of each tournament. The dates are the firm core of the announcement; key event information has not been released alongside them. One summer window is explicitly marked as subject to change, while the final tournament has been placed only in December without exact days. The schedule therefore sets the year’s broad rhythm, but not the full competitive identity of the six events.

FISSURE’s announced 2027 calendar

The calendar begins with back-to-back events in January and February, then resumes in April before moving to a late-July and early-August window. A further tournament is planned for November, followed by a December event. The spacing creates a six-tournament outline rather than a single concentrated series of competitions. FISSURE has not announced tournament names, locations or prize pools with these dates, so the calendar should be read as a timetable of planned event slots rather than a complete set of tournament pages. The July-to-August entry is the only dated window that carries a stated warning that its timing may move.

This is not FISSURE’s first attempt to map out 2027. The operator had previously announced a 2027 Dota 2 calendar in February 2025 that contained seven tournaments, with almost all of the dates different from those now listed. The latest plan is therefore a revised schedule as well as a new confirmation of six intended events. It also arrives after discussion about whether FISSURE would continue in Dota 2: journalist Richard Lewis reported in November 2025 that the company could step away from Dota 2 tournaments. The newly announced calendar points in the other direction, showing that FISSURE is still planning Dota 2 events for 2027.

Details still to be announced

The timetable does not yet answer the practical questions that normally distinguish one tournament from another. Readers should not treat the six date windows as confirmation of a particular bracket, participant field or event scale. FISSURE has disclosed the calendar, but the individual competitions remain only partly defined. That uncertainty is especially relevant for the December slot, which has no exact dates, and for the July-August event, whose listed timing may change. Until further announcements arrive, the following are the principal tournament details not included with the 2027 schedule:

  • Competition format: FISSURE has not stated how the tournaments will be played.
  • Event identity and scale: tournament names, host locations and prize pools have not been disclosed.
Tournament window Announced timing
First tournament January 9-17
Second tournament February 5-14
Third tournament April 16-25
Fourth tournament July 25-August 1; dates may change
Fifth tournament November 3-14
Sixth tournament December; exact dates not announced

FISSURE’s current Dota 2 activity also provides immediate context for the 2027 calendar. At the time of the report, the operator was running PARI Universe, and LEGION had won its closed qualifier on October 8, 2026. The six-event plan places that ongoing involvement alongside a longer schedule for the following year, even though the individual tournament formats and other event details remain unannounced.
