Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev is considering one more full attempt at professional Dota 2, with spring 2027 as the period he currently sees as realistic. The idea is not a roster announcement. RAMZES666 said he still has an unfinished competitive opportunity, but also acknowledged that returning would require him to rebuild his form through sustained practice after streams.

The discussion began around the next season and the possibility of reaching The International through open qualifiers. RAMZES666 described the coming cycle as potentially the last one in which he could make a serious professional push. He did not name a team, role or exact tournament. Instead, he placed the decision closer to spring and focused on the work needed before any offer could become meaningful.

His condition was direct: he needs to sit down and play, improve his rating and spend long stretches training again. That admission keeps the comeback in the conditional tense. Past results and name recognition can attract attention, but neither substitutes for current matchmaking form or the routines required inside a team. A return becomes credible only if the practice phase happens and produces a level he considers ready for competition.

Competition, not income, is the stated motive

RAMZES666 also separated the idea from financial necessity. He said streaming and casting over the past year and a half had paid well enough that a comeback would not be driven by money. That does not tell us what contract he might accept or how organisations would value him. It explains the motive he chose to emphasise: an unresolved desire to compete rather than a need to replace media income.

That motivation can matter during preparation. Returning players have to trade flexible broadcast work for scrims, public games, travel and the pressure of qualification. Saying money is not the goal does not make those demands disappear. It means the decision will depend more heavily on whether RAMZES666 wants that routine again and whether a suitable lineup believes his current game can help.

His last full competitive period came in 2024, when he played for Tundra Esports and finished third at The International. Since then, streams, casts and media tournaments have kept him visible without reproducing the schedule of a permanent professional roster. A spring 2027 return would therefore follow a substantial gap from regular top-level team play, even though he has remained close to Dota.

The gap creates two separate questions. The first is mechanical and strategic form: whether intensive public-game practice can restore the speed and consistency required for elite matches. The second is fit. A team would need a role, leadership balance and competitive timetable that match what RAMZES666 wants. No source confirms that those pieces are already in place.

What must happen before a return

The next observable step is not an announcement but training. RAMZES666 said he would need to start grinding after his broadcasts and devote much more time to the game. Rating progress, regular practice and the willingness to keep that schedule would provide stronger evidence than an isolated statement made on stream.

Only after that stage would roster negotiations become relevant. Open qualifiers can make a newly assembled stack possible, but mentioning that route does not mean a stack exists. Spring is similarly a target window, not a fixed date. The careful reading is that an experienced player has reopened the possibility of competition and set conditions for himself before making it real.

  • Spring 2027 is a possible window, not a confirmed return date.
  • RAMZES666 says intensive practice must come before a comeback.
  • He has not announced a team, contract, role or tournament entry.

Element Current status Needed next
Motivation Competitive, by his account Sustained commitment
Playing form Not yet tested in a full team Practice and rating work
Roster No team announced A suitable offer or stack
Timing Spring 2027 considered A confirmed plan

RAMZES666 has moved a comeback from a distant hypothetical to an option he is prepared to discuss seriously. He has not crossed the line into a confirmed return. The distinction protects the value of his statement: he still wants competition enough to consider the required grind, and he knows reputation alone will not complete it. His practice over the coming months will show whether the opening becomes a real final season.
