Cake Team support Alexey “Shiishak” Ustinov has named Miposhka, Solo and Immersion among the strongest supports in streamer tournaments. His reasoning was not limited to mechanical skill. He emphasised captaincy, drafting and the ability to explain the next move to teammates, qualities that become particularly valuable when a media-event roster combines professionals, streamers and less experienced players.

Shiishak described Solo as a player who directs the game continuously and explains what everyone should do. He saw a similar leadership effect from Miposhka during the smaller number of Streamers Battle appearances the Team Spirit captain made. Immersion received recognition for combining high matchmaking standing with support experience.

This is a personal ranking, not an official statistical table. The useful part is the selection criterion. A support in these events may have fewer resources and less visible damage, but can raise the level of four teammates by simplifying information, preparing the draft and keeping the group aligned after mistakes.

Communication turns experience into team performance

Streamer rosters often have limited practice and unequal hero pools. In that setting, a long instruction is usually too slow. Strong captains reduce complex map states to a clear action: defend an area, delay a fight, protect a timing or move behind one core. Shiishak’s praise for Solo and Miposhka reflects this ability to translate professional knowledge into decisions others can execute.

Drafting adds another layer. A captain must understand what teammates can play comfortably rather than build an ideal professional composition that the roster cannot operate. The best support leader therefore balances theory with the people present. This makes leadership observable through team coherence even when the support’s own scoreline looks ordinary.

Shiishak connected his own development to a short period playing with Puppey and learning from coaches including Afoninje and Heen. He called the experience invaluable while resisting the claim that it made him a top professional. His account presents improvement as accumulated conversation, replay work and exposure to better decision-makers.

He also explained why a return to full-time professional Dota is not an automatic goal. Shiishak was already streaming before entering esports and described the cost of endless bootcamps, practice games and qualifiers. During one period with Nemiga, he recalled almost daily training and only two days off in a month.

Media competition offers a different balance

Streamer tournaments let experienced players remain competitive without accepting every demand of a professional season. Shiishak noted that building a media team for open qualifiers is possible, although tournament streaming restrictions and the amount of work make the idea difficult. For him, the current media circuit already supplies meaningful competition.

That context strengthens his support ranking. Miposhka, Solo and Immersion are valuable not merely because of past teams or rating, but because their habits transfer quickly into temporary lineups. They make limited preparation more productive and give mixed-experience teammates a stable voice.

  • Shiishak highlighted Miposhka and Solo for leadership and drafting.
  • He also named Immersion as a strong high-rating support.
  • His time with Puppey and experienced coaches accelerated his learning.
  • He has not committed to a full-time professional return.
Support Quality highlighted Team effect
Solo Continuous direction Clear actions throughout the game
Miposhka Captaincy and leadership Structure for a temporary lineup
Immersion High-level support play Mechanical and matchmaking credibility

Shiishak’s answer is a useful reminder that support strength is often distributed through the entire team. Calls, drafts and teaching do not always appear in match statistics, yet they decide whether a temporary lineup functions. In streamer competition, the player who makes four teammates clearer can be more valuable than the one with the loudest highlight.
